Simone De Palma is a Technical SEO Specialist at iProspect UK. In this role, I deliver technical SEO audits and analyze data through exploratory data analysis (EDA) for enterprise businesses worldwide.

I am also the founder of SEO Depths, an SEO blog that shares firsthand technical expertise to help marketers optimize their daily workflow and make data-informed SEO decisions.

I have been in the SEO industry for around 2 years after graduating in Marketing and Management from Università IULM in Milan and participating in an exchange study program at Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom.

During my MSc, I gained practical experience as an SEO intern at a small agency in Italy. After working on a betting website as a side project for over 6 months, I eventually specialized in SEO and secured my first paid job in Leeds, United Kingdom.

Since then, I have gained expertise in eCommerce SEO, working with B2C brands and luxury firms.

When it comes to work, I am particularly passionate about technical SEO, data analysis, and machine learning. My interest in automation led me to learn Python and apply the analytical skills I acquired during my university studies. The unusual combination of tech and analytics has led to over 50 Python scripts that I use to streamline my daily workflow.

In life, I am a big fan of art and history. I enjoy hiking and writing poetry in my spare time.

Advice For Anyone Joining The Industry

Wreak havoc on not one, not two, not three websites before you learn and find the solution to a problem.

In general, start in a small agency and experiment with multiple brands to gain first-hand experience and see what you like the most.

Keep afloat with the industry news and especially make sure to join communities.
