Kavi Kardos is the Director of SEO at Uproer, partnering with SaaS and ecommerce companies to deliver high-growth search marketing solutions. As the SEO practice and team lead, I help streamline our processes and develop strategies to grow the profile of the agency and the members of my team.

I’ve been working in SEO specifically since 2014, but my background in writing and publishing helped pave the way for the career I have now. I’m particularly interested in the psychology of marketing and user experience, website architecture, and aligning strategy with both search and user-focused trends.

Outside of work, I’m a lifelong baseball fan (went to my first Astros game when I was still in the womb), a pretty good poker player, and an admirer of good beer.

Advice For Anyone Joining The Industry?

Say yes as often as you can!

It’s super important not to overextend yourself, especially at work, but saying yes to opportunities that come your way is a vital part of networking and making a name for yourself in this industry. Even if it scares you — join that group, pitch that conference, write that blog piece, record that podcast!

For any female-identified people getting into SEO, I can’t recommend the Women in Tech SEO community highly enough. It has truly had more of an impact on my dedication to and involvement in this industry than anything else I’ve encountered in my career.
