Advice For Anyone Joining The Industry
- Don’t get dazzled by the hype or chase every shiny object promising instant results. Insist on data—if you can’t measure it, it’s just a guess. Keep the focus on your consumer’s needs: understand what they’re searching for, what drives their decisions, and how you can deliver value. SEO isn’t just about rankings; it’s about creating strategies that drive revenue.
- Remember, there’s no universal playbook—what works for one website might be catastrophic for another. Stay curious, experiment, and always be ready to adapt. SEO isn’t magic; it’s a mix of strategy, creativity, and patience, all grounded in understanding your audience and business goals.

Affiliations & Past Work
- Looking for work!
- I am looking for a fully remote role that will recognize my experience and commitment. I am a very loyal employee and a hard worker, but in exchange I ask for a flexible position that will allow me to take time off as needed to care for my teenagers and my aging parents without the need to punch a time clock. I would like a company culture that is progressive and accepting of all people, as I myself am LGBTQ+.
- I’d like to find a role where I can stay long term; I’m not looking for upward mobility if the compensation is appropriate for the work. I like to “get my hands dirty” and prefer managing systems and projects although I’m skilled at managing people as well.
- My ideal position would be similar to the one I was in previously as Head of SEO, where I can work with lots of different people in different departments and bring large marketing projects to completion and success.
Published Work & Inclusions
- I’ve been out of the public eye for a while now so most of what I wrote/said would now have to be viewed through the lens of AI. But I’ve been a thought leader for 20+ years and I keep up with the latest tactics and strategies.
Any Results/Highlights From Your Work You Want To Promote? Any Impact You’re Proud Of?
- One of the projects I’m most proud of completing in the last year was a complete replatform and overhaul of the company blog, where I performed content audits, guided the marketing team on re-optimization of older content, edited existing content to match new brand guidelines, and ensured a seamless transition of technical SEO for an average increase of 18% in blog-based traffic and contributed an additional $3m in blog-influenced revenue over six months after the launch.
