Celeste Gonzalez is the Director of RooLabs at RicketyRoo. In this role I create the strategy for local businesses, manage client relationships, and execute SEO processes along the way.
I began my journey with SEO in 2020 while finishing my second year of undergrad. By creating a blog about my experiences as a first-generation college student I was able to teach myself the ins and outs of SEO, content marketing, social media, and everything digital. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics, I joined RicketyRoo full-time as a Junior SEO Specialist and have worked my way up since.
I love to learn in public and share my experiences—good and bad—with the SEO community. Outside of SEO I love to travel and try new dishes and restaurants. I also love learning about skincare, diet & nutrition, and binge watching Law and Order: SVU.
Advice For Anyone Joining The Industry
Don’t be afraid to join the conversation. When I got started with SEO I created a Twitter account and pretty much followed as many SEOs as I could find. It took me a while to start tweeting on my own and responding to others discussions. For the most part, others are very nice and are happy to chat back and forth about whatever they are tweeting about.
I also recommend joining a community that you’ll feel comfortable asking questions in like Latinas en SEO or Women in Tech SEO!
