Who is Andy Frobisher?

Andy Frobisher is a freelance SEO consultant, and formally the Head of SEO at Digitaloft. In this consultancy role he is responsible for the strategy and delivery of SEO for his clients.
Andy has over 9 years of digital marketing experience behind him, starting as an account manager for a full service digital marketing agency working on everything from design, development, branding, SEO, PPC, and more.
After 5 years working for a full service agency, Andy moved to Digitaloft, which is a specialist SEO agency based in the Lake District in the North West of England. Here Andy was able to take the many skills learnt from project managing big website projects and creating multi channel marketing strategies into and SEO focused role.
After 3 years at Digitaloft he was promoted to Head of SEO where he developed an industry winning team of SEO’s and content writers.
Apart from his freelancer SEO consultancy company, Andy loves nothing more than solving complex SEO issues and putting together SEO strategies for clients. Outside of work Andy enjoys spending time with his family, playing Pokemon TCG with his stepson, online gaming, and building up his model railway collection.
Advice For Anyone Joining The Industry
- Be prepared to always be learning. You’re never done when it comes to learning about SEO.
- Join the SEO community on social media like X (formerly Twitter), there’s so many great SEO’s hanging out on there! Join communities if you’re able to like Women in Tech SEO, Neurodivergents in SEO and Freelance Coalition for Developing Countries.
- Seek a mentor, either within your organisation or outside within the community.

Cool Fact
- My first ever paid job was standing in police line ups when I was 15.
- I am also first cousin 12 times removed to Sir Martin Frobisher, an Elizabethan privateer who was instrumental in defeating the Spanish Armada, and also led successful voyages to the new world (now Baffin Island in Nunavut, Canada).
Favorite Food And/Or Restaurant
- Pizza, but anything Italian basically. There’s a lovely little Pizza restaurant in my town that myself and my wife love to visit on date nights. They also do the BEST gelato I have ever tasted!
